ETA Vote Now

A fundamental cornerstone of any democracy is the trust of the electorate in the electoral system.

Electronic election technologies have the potential to transform public elections in terms of enhanced convenience for voters and increased efficiency for election administrations, but in doing so trust in the system must be preserved. Electoral authorities around the world have achieved benefits from successful implementation of a range of systems supporting election processes such as planning, logistics, configuration, roll management, roll lookup and results reporting.

However, only a few jurisdictions worldwide have implemented online voting or completed ballot return. While no online public government election has been proved to actually have been compromised by any security breach, opponents of online voting point to the possibility of this occurring. Online election systems, as indeed most other systems supporting elections, need to be designed with the highest levels of security, verifiability and auditability in order to respond to public scrutiny and maintain the trust of the electorate.

In this environment, Election Technology Associates (ETA) has been established as a Sydney, Australia-based firm of experts in information and communications technology in support of public elections. Its mission is to assist electoral authorities plan and implement systems across the full spectrum of election processes. ETA consultants work with the electoral authority’s team, and contribute a range of specialist inputs depending on client requirements, based on their substantial experience of election technology solutions.

The ETA team brings together a world-leading group of consultants with practical experience of planning and successful implementation of electronic technology in public election processes. These consultants have been responsible for strategy development, business case development, funding submissions, governance, project management, security and disaster recovery planning and implementation and audit.
